Alvarez Joins the Uke Party

Posted on April 23, 2015

ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI – Few instruments are as versatile as the ukulele, and many musicians around the world value it for its distinct sound, high mobility, and its use as a great educational tool. For 2015 Alvarez has focused their signature quality, sound and value into two excellent lines of Ukuleles: The Regent Series and Artist Series.

“We’ve taken our time bringing our Ukuleles to the market because we really wanted to perfect them,” Says Chris Meikle, Head of Development at Alvarez and Senior Vice President of St. Louis Music. “We feel our Regent and Artist Series ukes are a great reflection of their guitar heritage; great quality, great sounding ukuleles, delivered at very affordable price points.”

Both series feature Soprano, Concert, Tenor, and Baritone shapes, and are constructed with a dovetail neck joint for optimal strength and transfer of energy between the neck and body. The bracing design is a modification on traditional fan style braces to optimize response. The response is also aided by a solid “slotted” rosewood bridge, which enhances projection and helps to make string changes easier and quicker.

Other appointments and features include quality-seasoned tonewoods, real bone nut and saddles, mahogany neck, rosewood fingerboard and premium tuners.
